About Us

“Bigger Estates” is meant to be a platform to share ideas and express my journey and thoughts with regards to the Property Industry in Malaysia. However, my nature is more revolved around personal financing and anything and everything related to financial independence, there will be some random post exploring topics extending beyond Real Estate and other relevant industries.

Why did I create this blog?

The answer to this is really simple. There is a lack of information availability and dissemination when it comes to Real Estate Investing. While Infomercials are abundant, the regular layman like myself finds it difficult to truly understand the in-depth step by step scenario, risk and potential of getting oneself involved in the Real Estate Investment movement.

Considering Real Estate Investing is not something one can dip their toes in, it is a major capital expenditure with lifelong commitments for the young ill-advised investors. A typical real estate investment is equivalent to 35 years long of monthly instalment that ranges between RM 1,500 – RM 2,500. Now considering if the investment was made with many small errors in judgement, that can easily compound to a life-long financial struggle and it is my wish for peers to not experience such pain.

Real Estate Investing is meant for financial liberation. However, there are some real estate agents, acting in bad faith who have turned something that is meant for financial bliss into a financial entrapment. Financial suffering typically leads to discontentment within relationships and the subsequent breakdown in family and society.

My only wish with this blog is to disseminate all the knowledge and experience gathered from various sources to individuals who wish to understand and succeed in Real Estate Investing. For I have been blest with good mentorship, naturally, I wish someone else will benefit from my time and effort in getting this blog up and lively.

Who runs Bigger Estates?

Bigger Estates website is currently managed by a not so young individual, a simple regular individual like you by the name of Paul.

Like you, I am a regular salaryman, working a 9 to 5 job that seems endless. However, like some of you, I am also aggressively passionate about Real Estate Investing and naturally, I ended up being a Real Estate Investor. At the same time, I do hold a Real Estate Negotiator license and serve a niched pool of clientele.

A lot of experience shared will come from my journey as an Investor, while some, my time as a Negotiator. There are some benefits to serving as a negotiator in the Real Estate Industry but most of the thrill and joy comes from the appropriate Real Estate Investments.

Having said much about myself, I do hope this platform will allow many like-minded individuals to connect and hopefully one day, there will be more guest authors here to share and disseminate their knowledge and experience to benefit a wider crowd of aspiring Real Estate Investors who truly hunger for investment success.

What to expect from Bigger Estates?

As mentioned earlier, this is going to be a platform to share ideas and explore Real Estate Investment opportunities, risks and procedures. With that in mind, we can look forward to understanding the little cogs that run this humongous beast of a machine called REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT and why the top 10% of our society spend so much effort accumulating Real Estate as their main Investment Vehicle.

With that understanding and hope, we can journey together and be more successful than where we are at present in managing our Real Estate Portfolio and our lives that is intricately linked to our financial decisions.

Random #1: What are some other interest potentially explored here?

To be honest, my mind is currently set on Real Estate and the intricacies it has. However, in consideration of how the financial world is so tightly and neatly linked, I believe we will explore the below topics as we journey together in life,

  • Personal Finances
Yes, we love to hate personal financing. Who loves having a budget and whether if we are still within budget? Not me. However, without adequate financial literacy and understanding our own personal finances, the chances of success in the Real Estate Investing world is closer to 0%.
With no money and no capability to manage money, the risk of ruin and a potential bankruptcy is very high.
  • Stock and ETF Investing
This is another topic I am also aggressively passionate about. I do believe Real Estate and Stock Investing goes hand in hand.
I would typically leverage on “other people’s” money for the Real Estate Investment while wisely relying on my own money to make a return through the U.S Market.

My typical answer to the question, “Between Real Estate and Stock Market, which will you invest in?”.
Both. Why rely on 1 basket when you can have both? Real Estate can be a really slow-moving vehicle while Stock Market is typically much faster.

Random #2: Am I interested to connect with other real estate investors?

Most definitely! Drop me an email!

Final Word?

I hope this blog will bring joy to your real estate investing journey. That’s all from me, take care!
